Innovator Founder Visa UK

A Complete Guide to the Innovator Founder Visa UK Requirements

The Innovator Founder visa is ideal for people who have a new and unique business idea unlike anything else out there. The idea has to be completely viable for the UK market, scalable to national or international markets, and innovative. This visa has replaced the Innovator and Start-up visa routes which means you can no longer apply for them.

The Innovator Founder visa is a direct route to settlement in the UK, meaning if you’re eligible and meet the requirements, you may be able to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 3 years on this visa.

Who is Eligible for the Innovator Founder Visa?

Before you can apply for the Innovator Founder visa, you must have an endorsement from an endorsing body that confirms that your business is new, viable, scalable, and innovative. You can apply for endorsements from the following Home Office-approved endorsing bodies:

  • Envestors Limited
  • UK Endorsing Services
  • Innovator International
  • The Global Entrepreneurs Programme (GEP)

Each body has its own application processes which usually involve explaining your business idea, presenting your business plan, and going through an assessment process to decide whether your business idea fits the specifications of the endorsing body.
